Does anyone have some tips on entry level E-commerce?

I have started this group as a sort of first step. Anyone know where to go from here?

If you are just starting out you may find that using a hosted solution is your best bet. They do all of the hard work for you. You don’t have to worry about a shopping cart or SSL certificate or anything like that. You just need to pick a domain name and you can start adding products.

The downsides of this is you cannot customize some features and they charge a fee for their services. Usually the fee is monthly and sometimes they also take a percentage of your sales (usually 1 or 2%) as well. But it usually is worth the cost because you don’t have to pay for a website and can start right away.

A good hosted solution to checkout is Yahoo Stores. They work very well and have good support.
