What are good ecommerce solutions ? That are here in the U.S.!
I am looking for an affordable way to sell my products online, any suggestions? Something that is not too expensive, nice site design templates and get me up and running in no time!
Thanks for your help.
Thanx Lui,
However, I want my own site/store, Ebay is not what I want, way to competitive…you have to have a high amount of products just to get on top of the searchs, if I sell tapes and only have 25., someone with 1000 will always get the most traffic as their store is the one everyone will see first.
I want my own individual store, when someone comes to my store its just my products, not an auction site with a million other stores competing against me, I tried those auction sites and your store is crammed with a million other like stores. No, not looking for an auction site.
Anyone else? I’m looking for a ecommerce solution that is not expensive, easy to create my store, cool templates and so forth.
Thanx anyway!
I suggest just using Ebay, just because the traffic is already there, you don’t have to advertise a lot to attract traffic.
Using Ebay is like setting up a shop at a mall, where the people already are.
Besides ebay there are many places like Amazon Yahoo shopping but they have commissions and monthly charges.
But to have your own online store you can go to http://www.theexpomart.com from where you can get Your very own Online Shop or Store FREE of cost. They will also give you free hosting etc. To manage your store you will have your own admin panel. The best part is there is no monthly charges or commission. Check them out it may help.
I have had one of the estore now for over 5 years.
They charge you $49.99 a YEAR.
There really are no other fees. For a small month fee you can add your own products. Not sure if this is $14.99 a month or $19.99 a month.
Much cheaper than the other online hosting sites charge. The company also pays for anyone that sells your products as an affiliate.
They do carry over 5000 items in the stores just as they are.
You can use their templates and change the site to a look more original than their basic templates do. They have very few templates, this I will say.
Our cost on the products are very reasonable since they handle the shipping of the store items purchased. You will need to be responsible for anything you add to the store.
Check out my site at okiescooldeals.com This will show you what you can do with these basic templates. When you get there click on “Buy Estore” for more info. No you won’t need to buy the store if you click on the button..lol
I don’t pay much for advertising the store and list everywhere I can with the no fee sites that will allow you to list with them. Also the free directories are a great place to list the stores.
If you have a lot of people you know you can make sure you give them the URL of the store. My relatives and friends do shop at my store.
I also list many of the items from the store in the free classified ad sites.
I keep prices very low and some of the Ebay sellers do use the products to sell on Ebay. I checked and my prices are as low as many of the dropship sites being used.
You can also do Google adwords to earn more.
Don’t think that any site will be found on the internet without advertising. It just won’t happen. Keywords are very important as well. It does take a while to get off the ground with any new business. Nothing is really fast starting as portrayed in internet website advertisements.
What ever you select, I wish you good luck and Gods blessings.
Here’s a great list of shopping carts …
http://www.ecommerceoptimization.com/ecommerce-shopping-cart-solutions/
We are in the process of reviewing each, but for now you can find out more information on each by typing their names into Google and seeing what they pull up.
Write down the features and functions you think you will need, add marketing/SEO to the list if it’s not on there to begin with and then start looking for the closest cart within your budget.
If you want your own, you will probably want to go with a download or purchase cart that requires setup and design. The free carts mostly take a percentage of sale or come with little to no marketing tools or functionality.
The main thing is that the cart will be able to grow with your business as time passes.
